In the truest tradition of Dixie Cup novelty beers, we present a category for the truly twisted: La Cerveza que Quema dos Veces — The Beer That Burns Twice!
Starting with enough alcohol to warm any palate, beers entered in this category should have an original gravity of not less than 1.070. Add to that a healthy dose of chili peppers, enough to make the eyes water but remain in balance, and you have the fabled Beer That Burns Twice. If it burns three times, we don’t want to be around for it.
The base beer style must be noted and the beers will be judged for overall balance and burn. Drinkability is encouraged, but not mandatory.
